פרופ' ערן ויגודה-גדות- פרופ' למנהל, ניהול ומדיניות ציבורית ומדע המדינה, מחברם של 12 ספרים וסימפוזיונים וכ -200 מאמרים מדעיים וחיבורים אחרים בתחום. תחומי עיסוקו העיקריים הם ניהול והתנהגות במערכות ממשל ומנהל ציבורי, פוליטיקה ארגונית, רפורמות ושינוי של מערכות ציבוריות ושלטון מקומי, אמון בממשל, ומקומו של האזרח בקשר עם הממשל ועם בירוקרטיות מודרניות. פרופ' ויגודה-גדות שימש כחוקר אורח באוניברסיטאות בארה"ב (Harvard, Georgia), קנדה (McGill), בלגיה (Leuven), בריטניה, ואירלנד. כיהן בעבר כראש בית הספר למדעי המדינה וכראש המחלקה למנהל ומדיניות ציבורית באונ' חיפה וייסד את המרכז לניהול ומדיניות ציבורית ואת תכנית המוסמך במנהל שלטון מקומי. כיום מכהן כדיקן הפקולטה למדעי החברה ע"ש שמואל והרטה עמיר באונ' חיפה. פעיל כיועץ לנציבות שירות המדינה ולגופים ציבוריים בממשל המרכזי ובשלטון המקומי בישראל, חבר בוועדות ציבוריות שונות בתחום, ומנהל פרויקטים שונים של מחקר ברמה הלאומית והבינלאומית, בעיקר במסגרת השוק האירופאי המשותף, בתחום הקשר שבין הציבור והמנהל הציבורי.
מחקרים שונים של פרופ' ויגודה-גדות עוסקים בין השאר בהתמודדותן של דמוקרטיות ומערכות ממשל עם מצבי חירום ומצבי משבר. מאמרים וספרים שונים שלו עסקו בבעיות של אמון ורמת שירותים ציבוריים בזמנים מורכבים של משברים פוליטיים ועסקיים ובפרדוקס הדמוקרטיה והבירוקרטיה בתקופות קונפליקט ומשבר.
