Palzur Galit

Galit Palzur

Ms. Galit Palzur is a PhD student at the International Economics Department of the Poznań University of Economics and Business, writing her dissertation on corporate risk management of disasters. She has a B.A. in Economics and International Relations and M.A. in International Relations and European Studies, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Ms. Palzur wrote her M.A. thesis on the influence of terrorism on the asylum policies towards Muslims and completed her degree magna cum laude. Before pursuing a PhD, Ms. Palzur served in several high-level positions in the Israeli public service: She was the Director of the Economics and Standards Division and Price Control Regulator at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and before that was the Manager of the National Budget for the fields of Agriculture, Environment and Tourism at the Budgets Division at the Ministry of Finance. She has over a decade of experience as a member of several Board of Directors of government-held companies, funds and statutory entities, including the National Parks Authority (where she was the Chairman of the Finance Committee and Member of the Audit Committee of the Board), Board for Capital Investment in the Agricultural Sector and National Committee for the Entitlement to Natural Disaster Reparations. Ms. Palzur was also Chairman of the Bureau of the OECD Working Party on Climate, Investment and Development (WPCID) for the years 2016-2017.
